We’ve all been there. It’s almost the middle of December, only days away from Christmas, and you still haven’t bought a gift for your special someone.Β So I put together this quick gift guide to help those who need to get a gift and get it quick!
Whether it’s a girlfriend, best friend, sister, or mom – you want to get them something they’re going to enjoy. Because let’s be honest, giving gifts is just as special and rewarding as receiving them. Especially if your love language is giving gifts (like me)!
I’ve linked up the items below, as well as a few extras, at the bottom of the post! For easy browsing and shopping for you!
I personally own the monogram necklace (#6) and wear it almost every day. It’s a very delicate necklace, but trendy with the oversized monogram – which makes it personal + special π
I also have the Hearth and Hand candle in Cedar Magnolia, and it smells A-MAZING! It also looks cute – bonus!
Have someone who loves to journal, draw, or jot down ideas on-the-go? The zodiac journal is a beautiful option (#9). Pair with a pretty pen and you’re set!
Β The beautiful scarf was on my own list this year. I love anything camel-colored – it goes with everything and can be worn any season! Get the pom beanie (#5) to complete the outfit! (Your person not a neutrals lover? Not to worry – both have other color options!)
I own several mugs from Anthropologie (it’s semi-embarrassing how many I have) and love them all. I’ve also given them as gifts, and they’re always a hit! These mugs come in fun colors and are on sale! Here are some other great options too: classic, floral, gold, and plaid.
For the trendy friend who loves a bold statement for their home or office, get this calendar! (Pst.. free 2-day shipping too!)
Shake it like a Polaroid picture and get this fun mini camera that takes instant pictures! Here is it in white (which was on my list)! Don’t forget the film and the fun, magnetic frames for the fridge π
Lately, I’ve been getting into diffusing EOs (essential oils) and have a couple of diffusers and looking for another one. This diffuser is neutral and cute enough to blend in with almost any home decor. Get this for your oily friends, throw in a couple of your favorite oils, and you’re good as gold!
Books:
All of these books I’ve either received as gifts, are on my list, or I’ve read and they’ve been a great inspiration to me. Giving books is almost always a sure win and something they can enjoy and learn and be inspired from – a gift that truly keeps on giving.
Favorite Small Shops:
Shopping with small businesses is a win-win for everyone. You are able to find a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for your special someone, as well as support a small business that is usually ran by a mom, family, someone who is following their dream and passion. Here are a couple of my favorites.
- My friend, Jessica, runs an online shop, as well as teaches fun, little workshops in the OKC area. She is incredibly talented, and we also collaborated together on a little project where she created this beautiful print for all my readers (which you could print and give as a gift π I won’t tell). She currently has items ready to ship in her shop now – a few holiday themed ones (like this current fave of mine), a gorgeousΒ floral designΒ and this one with an adorable quote that would look cute in any home.
- Another one of my favorite little shops is Bella Vita Jewelry. I met the shop owner, Brandy, in college (her husband and I were in grad school together) and instantly fell in love with her designs. I’ve owned several one-of-a-kind pieces by her and have a couple on my list this year – like this hand stamped bangle and this bracelet set w/EO diffuser bead.
Gifts Cards!
There’s a lot of debate around giving gift cards. Is it impersonal? Is it the “easy” gift? I would say possibly yes to the last question and no to the former.
Gift cards are great gifts! In my opinion π People can get what they want, when they want or need, and it’s always going to fit. (And they’re easy to mail/ship!) Some great gift cards are Amazon, Target, gas card, grocery card (from their favorite place to shop), and a Visa card (these are great, but be careful of sneaky fees).
Have a friend who loves to thrift shop? Get them a Goodwill gift card! Or a GC to their favorite shop!
Have a friend who is more into experiences than things? Give them a restaurant gift card, movie passes, zoo tickets, wine-and-paint night tickets, the ideas are endless!
Once you have your gift card, bundle it with a cute mug (from the dollar section at Target), keychain, fuzzy socks, popcorn and candy (for a movie date night), anything that adds a little extra and that goes with the gift. And there you go! A gift that they can use anytime they want and however they want!
Last thing…
I hope this post gave you some ideas for your special someone and you can be successful in your gift-giving endeavors! Most of the options I posed in this post have quick shipping options or can still ship in time for you to receive them before Christmas. However, please read the shipping notices on their pages to get the most accurate information.
Although gifts are nice and fun to give and receive, it’s always good to remember that the best gifts in life aren’t things. But the time you have to enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones, friends, and family is the greatest gift.
Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and holiday season!

December 11, 2017 at 9:27 amThat scarf is so pretty. These are great ideas. I admit we end up defaulting to buying gift cards far too often.

December 12, 2017 at 10:41 amLove that pom beanie, so cute! I used to have a Polaroid type camera that made mini photos – I think it was the iZone camera in the 1990s. I loved it! I should check into this new tiny photo camera.

December 13, 2017 at 5:21 amWe used to play with our Polaroid all the time when we were younger. I love these new, smaller versions! Something about watching the picture develop brings back all the memories.
