Skincare

First up, let’s talk about Primally Pure. I’m loving their natural deodorant (yes, it actually works!) and cleansing oil. Both smell amazing – so fresh and botanical.

I was using the deodorant this summer when our gym’s A/C was out, so inside the gym was at least 100+, and it worked! It only takes 1-2 swipes, and it lasts all day for me. The only issue I had was mild irritation if I shaved that morning. But I tried to shave the night before so it wouldn’t irritate the skin.

For the cleansing oil, I use this primarily at night. I put about a quarter size amount in my palm, warm it up by rubbing it in my hands, then applying it all over – including the eyes to remove my eye makeup. Then, I either use a lukewarm wet washcloth to wipe and remove it or get in the shower, let it steam while I wash my hair, and then use a washcloth to remove it there.

On the topic of oils, I’ve been loving this Acure marula oil for my face! It’s a light, quick and easy absorbing oil. I have seen and felt a considerable difference in my skin, and I actually just purchased my 2nd bottle – I love it that much. When I want to add an extra punch, I apply a pump of this serum on top of it. Anything you apply to your skin on top of the marula oil will quickly absorb into the skin along with the oil.

Okay, these gel eye masks are life-changing. They help with puffiness and soften small lines and wrinkles, giving you that wide-awake “I just slept for 8 hours” look. For extra cooling effect, I keep mine in the fridge! This is my special, self-care treat in the mornings. I drink my cup of coffee while I let them sit and work their magical goodness on my eyes. The perfect self-care me time!

Makeup + Brushes

Okay, so I’ve always had terrible dark circles. No matter how much sleep I get, I still have them. I finally took a recommendation from someone I follow on instagram, and I’m so glad I did. This concealer is super brightening, affordable, and a little goes a long way!

I love to use this brush to apply it! I use the fluffier end to pat it in the darker areas, and then use a flicking motion to buff it out around the edges.

Speaking of brushes, I have fallen in love with this foundation brush! I bought it per The Beyouty Bureau’s recommendation, and it’s the best foundation brush. It feels so good on the skin, and it distributes my favorite foundation and CC cream evenly, creating an airbrush effect. Um SOLD.

If you’ve been looking for a matte lip cream, try this one! There are a ton of colors and the formula doesn’t dry out your lips. For fall, I’m loving the color Budapest. Zurich is a great pinky nude color. I also have my eyes on Monte Cristo and Madrid – deep, pretty reds!

If the thought of applying lipstick or a matte lip gloss gives you hives or causes major anxiety, then try this one! I bought this lipstick at the Anthropologie Wellness Event in Portland this last summer and instantly fell in love! I got the color Ruby Grapefruit – it was the perfect shade for summer, not too red and not too pink. However, I lost it a couple weeks after buying it and I haven’t replaced it yet 🙁 BUT I will be buying another one because the formula is so creamy and dreamy (like that rhyme there?) and wears more like a lip balm that a lipstick!

All Things Hair

I honestly can’t remember the last time I bought a curling iron or wand before I bought this one. It had been YEARS. So I figured it was time and I was due for a new one. I got this guy at Ulta (so I used a 20% off coupon I received in the mail – it’s so hard for me to pay full price for anything these days), and I love it! It doesn’t have the clip so it’s basically like a wand. The tip is protected so it stays cool (unlike my other tapered wand). After a bit of practice, this will be your new favorite way to curl your hair. It gives those perfect beachy waves that everyone wants. This barrel size is 1.25″ because my hair is so long right now, but the .75″ or 1″ would also be great options if you have shorter hair!

Speaking of long hair, this is one of the reasons why my hair has grown so long over the last year! I only wash my hair about 2 times per week, and I think it has helped with my hair growth and hair health. I style it less, use less heat on it, and don’t over wash it and strip the natural oils from it. If you are looking for a new dry shampoo to try or just want to try one for the first time ever, then I highly recommend this one.

I’ve tried MANY dry shampoos before, and this one is my current favorite and probably will be for a long time. It smells amazing (big selling point for me) and it works by absorbing the oils and adding volume at the same time. I get mine at Target (obviously), but I believe you can find it at other beauty stores and drug stores!

I’m so curious about that natural deodorant now! The ones I’ve tried in the past were bunk, so I may give this one a go.

Catherine, it’s so good. I can’t believe I actually found one that worked on the first one I tried!

I totally want to check out that lipstick from Anthro! Love that it’s not too bold, but still vibrant and pretty.

Yes! You definitely should. It’s so pretty without being over the top.

I’m so happy you suggested a good natural deodorant! I just tried Toms for the first time after wearing Secret for my whole life and it doesn’t work at all :/ So definitely going to buy Primally Pure 🙂

Ugh that’s such a bummer about Toms. This was the first all-natural one that I’ve tried, and I was so surprised how well it worked. I actually just got my 2nd one in the mail yesterday (thankfully, I’ve been out for awhile), and I’m still loving it!
