5 Easy + Minimal Spring Accessories

Although the Oregon weather tells a different story, spring is officially here! Even with the rain still lingering, I’ve started dreaming about warmer, sunnier days and spring outfits. With spring outfits come spring accessories.

When it comes to spring accessories, I like to think less is more. Although I love florals, bright colors, and prints, I tend to wear basics and neutrals (where my neutral lovers at??) more than the average girl. So to add some texture and life to my outfits, I love accessorizing with simple and minimal pieces. Here are 5 of my favorite easy, minimal spring accessories for this season.

Lightweight earrings

This is possibly the easiest way to add some texture and life to any outfit. When I can’t decide on a necklace, I always reach for my lightweight earrings because they add a statement without a lot of effort. My favorites right now are my Nickel & Suede leather earrings in Blank Canvas (I wear size medium – it’s the perfect in-between, not too big and not too small). They are super light, which makes them easy to wear all day without pulling on my ear or causing a headache. And since they’re leather, they add a nice texture and are a unique piece for any outfit.

Another go-to pair of lightweight earrings are these Target Sugarfix by BaubleBar tassel earrings in Blush. These made my top Target picks for spring and I’m loving them. Again, they are simple, very lightweight, so they’re easy to wear all day. And they are the perfect statement piece to dress up any tee or basic top.

Small crossbody purse

So this one may seem too practical, but I can’t even count how many times I wish I had packed a smaller purse or brought a clutch to take on a vacation or out to dinner. This simple crossbody purse from Target has a minimal, but functional design. It’s large enough to carry all the basics – wallet/cards/cash, phone, ID, lipstick/lip balm, but small enough to easily carry and use for a wine tour, flea market, dinner, or a little weekend getaway. It also made my top Target picks for spring list. (And it’s a steal and looks way more expensive than it really is – bonus!)

Floral kimono

I love throwing on a floral kimono over any basic tee with cut off jean shorts – it’s the easiest way to add bright, fun colors and an extra layer to an outfit without adding a bunch of bulk. I bought this floral duster kimono last year and I have zero regrets. I get compliments every time I wear it. I even had one lady think I bought it from a foreign country or a flea market, and she was shocked when I told her where I bought it from.

Cute baseball hat

My love for baseball hats grew in college when I was running late for class and I had no time to wash or fix my hair (and dry shampoo wasn’t a thing yet – crazy, I know… does this show my age? Lol!) I quickly discovered their value, and it seems designers did too because now you can find cute baseball hats everywhere. This blush one is super cute, and this one would go well with white jeans and a cute floral top. Wear one with curled, styled hair or throw one on when it’s been a few days since your hair has seen some suds (don’t worry – you’re secret is safe with me).

Unique wooden watch

I used to have (and arguably still have) an extensive watch collection. Everything from a classic look to more unique watches, I love them all. However, I never had a wooden watch in my collection until now.

Jord Watch Flaylay styled

I love my JORD wooden watch because it has the minimal design that I love, and with its simple, clean look, I can add it to just about any spring outfit. It’s lightweight, but not flimsy – the watch is designed really well and is comfortable to wear all day. The face of the Frankie is clean with minimal distractions, which creates a classic, timeless look. And of course, I love the Koa and Ash color because it’s neutral and goes with everything.

Those leather earrings are so neat! I love small cross-body bags, definitely essential for getaways.

Those shoes!! I also love big yet lightweight earrings, and always use a crossbody bag too, mainly because I always have a camera with me. That kimono is a great pop of color, too – super cute!
